Domestic electrical work, from a faulty switch to a bigger upgrade

Most home electrical jobs start with a question: why has this stopped working, or can this be moved, added or made safer. Bradley enjoys that part, working out what the best solution is for what you actually need rather than defaulting to the biggest job.

The range runs from replacing a faulty switch to partial and full rewires, and covers the work in between. Quotes are always free.

Scope

Jobs Bradley takes on

A guide rather than a complete list. If it is electrical and in a home, ask.

  • Repairs and faults

Faulty switches, sockets and lighting, tripping circuits and things that have simply stopped working.

  • Consumer unit upgrades

Replacement of older boards with modern protection, tested and labelled on completion.

  • Additions and improvements

Extra sockets, new lighting, outdoor power and other changes to suit how you live.

  • Partial and full rewires

When the wiring itself is the problem. See the dedicated rewires page for how those jobs are planned.

  • Landlord work

Remedials following an EICR and general maintenance on rental properties.

  • EV charging and solar

Qualified EV charge-point installations, including supply checks, DNO paperwork, testing and certification, plus assessed plug-in solar installations. Both start with a conversation about your property.

Process

How it works

  1. Describe the job

A message with a photo is usually enough to start. Say what is wrong or what you would like changed.

  2. Talk through the details

Bradley usually responds the same day or the next working day, sometimes with a few questions.

  3. Quote or callout

Bigger jobs get a free quote. Smaller faults can be dealt with on a callout.

  4. Done, tested, explained

The work is tested and you are told what was found and what was done.
